About the event
Hailed from Fujian, and now based in Beijing, China, Wu Kongting's strongest artistic language is gongbi, the meticuluos Chinese painting tradition characterized by precise brushwork, controlled colour and painstaking attention to detail. His subjects include pandas, Tibetan mastiffs, monkeys, and other animals.
His works are a marriage of traditional technique, contemporary subject, extreme observation and philosophical meaning.
